This is part 5 in a series designed to walk you through designing and sewing an elastic waistband skirt. If you have missed steps, you should go back to this page.
Today, you’re going to cut out your skirt. This is very easy considering that it is only two pieces. First, you’re going to wash and iron your fabric (as always) and lay it flat on your cutting surface.
Next, fold your pattern up to the hemline you want and lay it on your fabric.
Before you do anything else, make sure you store the patterns we made for the elastic waistband skirt in a safe place. They’ll be your first step on our next project.
