Now, for the final step in machine sewing is to learn how to sew curves.

Sewing curves is most important for skirt hems and sleeves. There aren’t nearly as many curves in sewing, but they are just as important.

To practice sewing curves, download and print this document.

The thing is, sewing curves is just like sewing in a straight line, except that, instead of adjusting your paper (or fabric) to stay straight, you move it while curving. You usually need to go pretty slowly to do this without messing up, so be prepared to do the first worksheet a few times until you get the hang of it.

Now, it’s very unlikely that you’ll ever have to sew curves that tight, but it’s always good to know you can.

The second worksheet is so you can combine your ability to sew curves and corners.
